MISSION
ABOUT MISSION
We predict that Mission will have one of the hottest real estate markets during the future ten years. Both Cedar Valley and the Downtown are now undergoing significant growth and revitalization. Local developers and small to medium-sized development initiatives have been the main drivers of this development.
The Silverdale Comprehensive Planning Area, a sleeping giant in the Fraser Valley, is what excites us. These 3,440 acres have seen a variety of modifications over the last few decades. In an effort to serve and develop the neighborhood, several developers have amassed land, but until the past two years, none of them had taken the initiative to use the Official Community Plan strategy. Initiating a Master Infrastructure Strategy with the City of Mission has been spearheaded by Polygon Homes and will lay the foundation for servicing routes and be a requirement for starting land use planning. Given its land mass and decreased land prices, we anticipate that many more developers will swarm to this location in the upcoming years.
The Mission City Council has taken a progressive stance on growth, supporting ongoing projects but also being cognizant of how the Silverdale Comprehensive Planning Area would almost double the size of the city over the following fifty years.
The District of Mission is perched on a southern coastal mountain slope with a view of the Fraser River’s verdant valley. The Stó:l First Nations people first settled Mission, BC in 1892, and today there are about 38,000 people living in this vibrant and quickly expanding city.
Mission is in an excellent location, only a 15-minute drive from the US border and around 70 kilometers east of Vancouver. The breathtaking scenery of mountain panoramas and unspoiled forest surroundings surround Mission. Our region experiences pleasant summers and mild, damp winters. Since the location is naturally conducive to a wide diversity of plant life and vegetation, flowers bloom for the majority of the year. Mission’s topography features a huge variety of hillsides and gullies that preserve natural neighborhood fences, breathtaking views, and a sense of permanence.
